We started Maison Delicious from our own hallway, because we couldn't find the things we actually wanted.
There is a version of home we have always had in our heads. Not a showroom. Not a catalogue. A house where the console is dressed on a Tuesday, where the lamp on the sideboard glows rather than glares, and where every object seems to have been chosen rather than simply bought.
We are Chris and Helen. We live in Northern Ireland, in a house we have spent years making feel like ours. Somewhere between early mornings and the end of a long week, we kept finding ourselves circling the same frustration: the faux flowers, vases and lamps that genuinely excited us were either wildly expensive, or beautiful in photographs and disappointing in person.
So we built something. We named it Maison Delicious after our own home, because that is exactly what it is: an extension of the way we live and the things we care about. We choose pieces that pass our hallway test: would we actually put this on our own console? Will the finish still look right in five years? And for the florals: would anyone ask whether they are real?
Our speciality is the complete arrangement: a vase and its stems chosen and paired by us so the proportions work first time, then sent to you as one set to arrange at home in minutes. We are not interior designers, and we are not pretending to be. We are two people who care about rooms that feel collected rather than decorated, convincing florals, characterful vases, warm lamplight and the small details that make having people round feel special.
How we work. Maison Delicious is a small online shop run by the two of us from Craigavon, Northern Ireland. Our pieces come from an established UK homeware supplier and are sent to you directly from their warehouse, each item individually packed, with tracked delivery across the UK. If anything isn't right, you deal with us, not a call centre: contact us here.
We only add a piece to the shop if we'd be happy to have it in our own home. That is the rule we started with, and it is the one we intend to keep.
