About
We started Maison Delicious from our own kitchen table — because we couldn't find the things we actually wanted.
There is a version of home we have always had in our heads. Not a showroom. Not a catalogue. A house where the table is properly laid on a Tuesday evening, where the glasses feel substantial in the hand, and where every object seems to have been chosen rather than simply bought.
We are Chris and Helen. We live on the Northern Irish coast, in a house we have spent years making feel like ours. Somewhere between early mornings and the end of a long week, we kept finding ourselves circling the same frustration: the homewares that genuinely excited us were either wildly expensive, or beautiful in photographs and disappointing in person.
So we built something. We named it Maison Delicious after our own home, because that is exactly what it is — an extension of the way we live and the things we care about. We source pieces that pass our kitchen-table test: would we actually put this in our home? Does the weight feel right? Will the finish still look right in five years?
We are not interior designers, and we are not pretending to be. We are two people who care about rooms that feel collected rather than decorated, convincing florals, characterful vases, warm lamplight and the small details that make having people round feel special.
Everything we stock has been chosen because we would buy it ourselves. That is the only rule we have ever applied, and it is the one we intend to keep.
Welcome to Maison Delicious.
